What is Google analytics?
Google Analytics is a free tool of Google uses to get information about the number of visitors per day, hour, year, etc. It shows information about the visitors, like their country, and whether the traffics is organic or inorganic, all the information is provided by Google Analytics.
Google Analytics is one of the most powerful tools used by people to track the record of their websites.
Benefits of Google Analytics
- Helps in tracking the traffic and provides reports based on the traffic.
- Shows the country from where the traffic is coming.
- It shows whether the traffic is organic, referrals, email, social media, or any other.
- It shows how much time the user spent on our website, page views, bounce rate, etc.

Universal Analytics V/S Google analytics 4
Launching Date
- Google Analytics 4 was officially launched on mid of October 2020. Google Analytics 4 is a replacement for Universal analytics which we normally use.
- From 1st July 2023, Google analytics 4 will completely replace Universal Analytics. Universal Analytics will not work after 1st July 2023. So, it’s better to start migrating from Universal analytics to Google Analytics 4.
Difference between Universal analytics and Google analytics 4
- Universal Analytics provides only web-based analytics reports but GA4 will provide both web and mobile-based analytics reports.
- In GA4 if you want to track information through Google tag manager then you will need a Tracking ID but in GA you can do this by Measurement ID.
- GA4 is more user-friendly than UA, especially if you are a beginner at Google analytics. In GA4 everything is well and more organized than in UA.
